Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport

Review Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport

Last week I stayed again at the Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport. Time for a review of this very conveniently located Airport Hotel.

Location Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport

Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport

This was not the first time I stayed at the Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport. In fact, the previous years I didn’t even came from the airport. Instead, it was a convenient stop on the way to and from South of France. Besides being located next to the Frankfurt Airport, the hotel is also located next to the Autobahn and thus a perfect stop when you are traveling by car from the North of Europe to the South of Europe (or vice versa).

This time I was coming from the airport though, and then it’s just one stop (Gateway Gardens) with the S-Bahn (S8 or S9). The exit (De-Saint-Exupéry-Straße) of the Gateway Gardens station is literally next to the hotel so it cannot be more convenient. The area itself consists mostly of office buildings and other hotels such as the Moxy and Park Inn. And if you want to eat outside, there are some restaurants. I tried Asia Moon when I was there; a Vietnamese fusion restaurant which wasn’t too bad.

Ocean Club Frankfurt

One new addition to the area is the Ocean Club. An area with some restaurants and bars outside with a DJ playing music. This is definitely something to take into account when you are staying at the Hyatt Place because the Hyatt Place is on the opposite side of the road. I therefore requested a room on the other side of the road. I could still hear a little bit of the music during the night but it didn’t bother me too much. But this could have been different if my room was on the same side of the road…

My room was at the top floor and was exactly what you would expect from a Hyatt Place. Everything still looked new and fresh and I liked that they used Rituals for the body lotion and shower gel. Room is spacious and the bed is comfortable; what more do you want?

Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport Breakfast

Breakfast

The Breakfast at the Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport is from 6AM till 10AM and it’s a buffet. Luckily, the breakfast at Hyatt Places outside of the US (at least the ones I visited) is a lot better than what you’ll get at Hyatt Places within the US! In this case, there are plenty of pastries to choose from (croissants, pain au chocolates,…) and – very important – there is a coffee machine that also offers a cappuccino option. The cappuccino itself isn’t fantastic (too bitter), but it’s better than nothing! There really isn’t too much to complain about. I just wish the Hyatt Place hotels in the US could adhere to the same standards!

Conclusion

The Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport is a very convenient hotel, whether you are traveling by car, train, or plane. Located next to the AutoBahn and next to an S-Bahn Station which is only one stop away from the Frankfurt International Airport and (High Speed) Train Station. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and breakfast is very good for a Hyatt Place. The only downside is the Ocean Club on the other side of the road. If you can make sure you can get a room on the other side of the road, then that’s a good way to mitigate that negative point.

Also check out my videos of the high speed train from Amsterdam to Frankfurt as well as Flying Business Class with Air France and Lufthansa within Europe; both great options to get around Europe!

I paid 6,500 Hyatt points for my stay at the Hyatt Frankfurt Airport hotel. If you want to know whether it’s a good idea to pay cash or pay with points for your next hotel stay, read the blog I made on this topic! Hyatt often runs promotions to buy points, and sometimes it could be worth it buying points!
