Bellagio

The Bellagio Las Vegas – la più bella?

When you enter the lobby of the Bellagio hotel with its spectacular glass sculpture, it’s hard to believe that the Bellagio Las Vegas opened more than 25 years ago. The hotel still attracts thousands of tourists trying to get a glimpse of the lobby and conservatory, and it’s still one of the most popular hotels on the strip. I was recently at the Bellagio for a 3 days convention. Please see below my review and read whether it’s still worth it, staying at this 25 year old trendsetter.

When the Bellagio Las Vegas opened in October 1998, it was the most expensive resort ever built and it showed. The attention to detail, the greenery, the luxury shops and restaurants, it all looked amazing. To top it off, it featured the Bellagio fountain show which, till today, stops people walking on the strip in their tracks.

And after several renovations, the hotel looks again as if it opened yesterday. The lobby and conservatory are still as beautiful as ever.

The Rooms

The rooms certainly don’t disappoint and show the recent renovation. During my stay I had a room at the Spa tower which was part of the most recent renovation. The room looked modern, new and fresh and the bathroom felt luxurious with the marble accents, big shower and bath. Furthermore, the room was pretty big. One tip; ignore the mini bar. Prices are ridiculous. 24$ for a bottle of water is a rip-off, even if it’s Fiji water!

Luckily enough, the Walgreens is a short walk away because the Bellagio Las Vegas is perfectly situated on the strip. It’s close to all the shops and in the heart of all the action. And if you’re tired off all the walking and clubbing, the hotel has a very nice pool where you can relax and work on your tan.

Conclusion

So, is the Bellagio Las Vegas still the most beautiful resort on the strip? Well, it’s certainly up there and after all the recent renovations it can once again compete with any other luxury resort on the strip.
